Hi, there!

I'm using AVI2SVCD ver. 1.2.1 build 3, and it worked great.
One day my problems started with subtitling.
I'm setting Rip SVCD subtitles, with submux in pertinent dir, actually it worked very nice.
Now after hard work of this programm I get: bbMPEG_Muxed_File-subbed00.mpg (816mb which should be subtiled, but it's not) and bbMPEG_Muxed_File.mpg (813mb). I get following in log file:
"Executing RunbbMPEG. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\bbMPEG\RunbbMPEG.exe" "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\bbMPEG_Muxed_File.mpg"

In my dir I may see all bmp files with subtitles,iw1-1, iw1-2..
After conversion, I'm watching (with DiVX player) bbMPEG_Muxed_File-subbed00.mpg without subtitles.
Please help!!!

[EDIT]-No big deal but in future please do not use multiple exclamation marks in thread titles. I have edited them out.

It seems very few standalone players display subtitled SVCD's correctly, the only advice I can give you is to use permanent subs.

At the very least then you can see if it's a player problem or a AVI2SVCD problem anyway.

Great!

You are right, thank You very very much. Now it's OK, the solution in AVI2SVCD is to use permanent subtitles.

But see what I have when using WinSubMux as standalone for mpeg video's. I get exactly the same thing: subbed file and no subtitles.
So what should be set in WinSubMux for to get "permanent subtitles" effect of AVI2SVCD when using WinSubMux as standalone for mpg files (with all it's requirements: the dir, short file name...) and still without subtitles.
Is there another solution for mpg and sub files?
Thank a lot in forward.

You can't add permanent subtitles without re-encoding

consequentially, winsubmux can only add selectable subs, which apparantly won't help you

In short - if you have an MPG file and you want to add subtitles to it - you'd have to re-encode, either through D2S's PVA input option (with which i had little success) or frameserving VDMOD with say TMPG (works well for MPG's)
