hi. i'm trying to backup shallow hal.

the wierd thing about this DVD is that the movie is in VTS_02_2, which i've never dealt with before.

i would just skip all the other VOBS but apparently VTS_01_xx is needed for DVD compliancy.

i looked at VTS_01_1 in VOBRator and it's all the deleted scenes. so i selected "include in output" for only one scene and then saved the new VOB file. this reduced VTS_01_x by about 1gig, which was enough to let me put the rest of the movie on with no compression.

so i did, using the new VOB file that VOBRator created.

put it in the standalone, the warnings came up, and when the "20th centruy Fox" logo is supposed to appear, it says "disk is dirty".

the 20th centry fox logo is in VTS_02_0 with the rest of the movie.

i've tried using DVD shrink and set all the extras to "still pictures" but it's only just too big.

can anyone give me any other solutions?

The quickest, easiest way would be to process it is with Elby's CloneDVD - this can completely strip titles, whatever their position, without affecting the compatibility of the disc.

You can get it here (http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_dvd/)

You can also use menuedit or titlesetblanker to replace each PGC in the VTS with a short blank clip (e.g. 12 frames). Or you can do this manually using Scenarist. Then use ifoupdate on the end result.

Granted, CloneDVD is probably easier =)
