Hallo people,

Can anybody tell what I am doing wrong.

I am trying to create a mpeg2 file using TMPGEEnc plus 2.5. My input file (.VRO) is a video that I recorded using my Panasonic DMR-E50 stand alone recorder.

I change the ending from .VRO to .MPG then using the MPEG TOOLS in TMPGEnc simple de-multiplex the file to get 1 mv2 and 1 mp2 file, I need the sound in a different format than AC3 because I need to edit the file in videostudio 7.0, I then simple multiplex in TMPGEnc using MPEG-2 Program (VBR) and receive a wonderful .mpg file. The only problem is that the sound doesn't sync, I see them speak before I hear them. The delay seams to be about 1/2 a second or so but I can't see anyway of correcting this using TMPGEnc.

I would be really glad of any help on this because my harddisk is getting pretty full with all the films that my wife is recording.

Thanx in advance

Cicreo

bbMPEG (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Encoders/MPEG2/bbmpg12418.zip) can adjust sync for multiplexing, if I recall correctly. Sync can be set in the "Program Stream Setting" tab in Settings. Set values in the "Startup Delays (ms)" box.

Hello cicreo.

I had a similar problem, but I was transcoding to AC3 format. I played around with the "Set Delay To" setting in BeSweet. One project worked with setting a 100 ms delay, another worked with an 80 ms delay.
I would suggest trying that-just keep the output format to mp2 if that's what you need. Then you could multiplex the video and the new audio file in TMPGEnc. Good Luck
