How to use copyrighted music on your website

Does anyone know how the proper and legal way to use copyrighted music on a personal website? :confused:

it depends on where u live and the law there. i think it's more or less fair use in the US (but don't come to me if u get sued). don't know about other places.

I really like to think that's the way it is but it sounds to good to be true.

Believe it or not try your local version of the record industry association.

Here in australia they have a division that charges a small fee to shops etc that use pipped music or radio station broadcasts to amuse the punters. That allows the shops to play the radio stations or pipped music regardless of what the music is, or the source.
