so far i have successfully backup some of my dvd titles using doitfast4u, reauthorist and docce4u, when i start using sceneaid i got this strange subtitle problem only when using sceneaid, all my dvds are demuxed by pgcs, what happened is that when i choose the subtitle in the movie, this is the subtitle that i keep, the screen will turn to black sometimes blue after the subtitle is displayed, if i choose to disable the subtitle , this black or blue background will not appear and the movie will played as normal

is there any settings or procedure that ive missed in sceneaid ?, coz this only happens when i use sceneaid but in reauthorist this problem will not happened. i have no choice but to recreate the scenarist script in reauthorist and the problem is gone, but i want to try sceneaid coz it can handle demux by vobid

by the way i using the latest version of scenaid

You're talking scenaid I Assume? (lose the extra e ;).

It sounds like wrong color mapping in the subs, but I must say I never had that problem. What version are you using?

Think its an occasional PAL thing, being worked on for next release as far as I know. I always check the subs in simulation window now, the colours and the percentages get mixed up. Quick, manual fix sorts it.

Or you can tell Scenaid to ignore subs and manually import them all.

Regarding the manual fix for this, how do you apply the changes to the entire stream? I have had this happen in earlier versions, but whenever I fixed it the changes would only effect the single subpicture I was viewing in the simulation window.

I haven't encountered this recently, but would like to know how to fix it anyway.

I get that also with Sceneaid. Whenever a subtitle appears the screen goes white.

Just use Reauthorist, it seems to work much better with subtitles.

@ wmansir
you can change the colour settings for an entire stream in the 'track editor'. highlight your substream and go to 'Tools' 'Change Colour', and change the 'Display Colours' to suit what you want, and click ok.
i detail it a little further in the guide i wrote dealing with spiderman:
a beginners guide to bov (http://eyesonly.panthersden.com/SPIDEY_GUIDE/A%20Beginners%20Guide%20to%20Button%20Over%20Video.htm)

@mephiston
what is happening is incorrect colours and transperency. you can simplychange it with the method described or you can try editing the .scp file. see this post:

After some careful checkups, i realize that i mistakenly installed the old version of ScenAid, thats why i had this subtitle problems. Now i installed the latest version ang problem is gone, ScenAid is working perfecly, my next goal is working on some complex titles. It was simply my own mistake.

Anyhow thanks everyone for reply my thread
