I've got an old SLP VHS tape I wanna capture, and it's at least a 2nd or 3rd generation, maybe older. It displays right on the TV, but when I go to capture, sometimes fields are missing, or get "stuck". Like you'll see somethign moving, then the scene changes, and while one field will follow the new scene, the second field will repeat the last 2 frams of the last scene for a few seconds. I could almost fix it by dropping one set of fields, but then I'm left with bobbing in some scenes, and it isn't always the same set of fields that gets stuck. One scene might have the odd field get stuck, while later on the even fields get stuck. Because of the fact it displays properly on TV I believe I could copy the tapes once more, and then be able to cap properly off the new tapes(I've been able to do this before when a tape wouldn't play back properly) but I don't want to do that for obvious reasons if I don't have to. Is there any way to fix this bad interlacing problem or am I screwed?
