changing delay for static messages

hi. i get annoyed with warnings like the FBI one at the beginning of most films which lasts 10 seconds.

it's before the menu and in my case (shalow hal) it's in the video_ts files.

it's not a 10 second video, it's just a static image displayed for 10 seconds.

something is telling it to go for 10 seconds.

how do i change it to 1?

Even 1 second is annoying to many. Why don't you do a delete playback on it using IfoEdit, since it's a menu, or just blank it out?

well i tried using ifoedit to delete playback.

i found the warning under menu language units, checked it was the right one by clicking preview, "deleted" it but it was still there when i clicked DVD play.

there must be an easier way.

the film in question is shallow hal, and it's the first out of about 7 overall that's given me any problems. this dvd doesn't have its menu in VTS_01, it's in VTS_02, but VTS_01 is needed for compatibility.

i couldn't keep VTS_01 becuase it takes up too much space (it's all extras). so i used Vobrator, and checked "include in output" for only the first VOb ID, and unchecked the rest.

this was alright for the computer and ifo edit was fine with it. but nero said that file allocation failed , but this has happenned before so i wrote the disk. but both my standalones say "disk is dirty" AFTER playing the warning signs i'm trying to get rid of.


this is hell, i quit with this DVD. why can't they make them all the same?

how do i change it to 1?The value that's telling it to go for 10 seconds is Cell Still Time that exists for every cell. Value 255 means display infinitely. In IfoEdit, change it to 0, not to 1. Of course, there are relatively easy ways to get rid of the warnings completely; read the 2Cool's guides.
