video flipping - audio fine

I converted Master and Commander (<questionable nature file removed>) using avi2svcd, but the video is flipping all the time. It's as if it's drawing from two places in the movie simultaneously - one of them being 500 ms or so before the other one. Has anyone seen this prob before?

*edit oh, I was converting in VBR and in highest quality.

Seems like you're about to encode a source not legally obtained. I'm sorry, but this is not the place to ask for help on that matter. Since you are a newcomer, you will not get a strike this time, but please read the mother of all stickies (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63406) on this forum and follow the instructions given.
