how can i add my own sound files to an mpeg2 video?
in what format do they have to be?

if your result would be a mpeg2 file I would recomend using tmpeg/mpeg tools simple multiplex.

The sound should be mpa (mpeg layer 1)

If u would like to result to a vob file, u must use an authoring program such as dvdlab, dvd author, Maestro etc.

Sound can be wav, mpa as above, ac3, dts. All of them must be at 48khz in order to be accepted.
