ifoedit dvdauthor

I just want to hear from the experts.

Does ifoedit 0.96 have a problem running on Win XP and
is the dvd-author function 'buggy'

Its more likely me that is the problem, because when i have
authored a dvd in ifoedit, i still have problems with the
chapter.

On every chapter it goes back a few seconds and plays it again and
then it plays it ok.

On every chapterpoint it plays a few seconds twice ?

I think it is me as a newbie being the problem , because i have read so many posts where people gets it to work.

I am working with a NTSC movie.

Is Rejig better than ifoedit when it comes to dvd authoring or
are both programs ok.

I am working with a NTSC movie. I use v0.96 once in awhile and I also have WinXP w/SP1. For the most part, 0.96 works fine as 0.95 but as far as the DVD-author feature is concerned, it's still buggy.

Here's this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64060&perpage=20&pagenumber=1) which mentions about the RFF flag and NTSC films when using IfoEdit. Also, it mentions others using ReJig's DVD author feature on NTSC films. On the second page, Doom9 quotes...

To this day, I still don't see the disclaimer in the guide so this is as close as it gets for an official claim.

slayerDK, why don't you try out ReJig on your NTSC DVD in question? You'll then get your answer to your question.

I've just tried Rejig with the same movie files and the

chapter problem is now gone.

So i guess i'm just going to use rejig from now on.


I just got used to ifoedit and think it is a perfect program, except
the DVDAuthor part.

Maybe in a update of ifoedit it will be 100 % perfect.
