I want to use the azid.dll in my little c program , but i dont know how. I would appreciate it if midas/dg or someone else would be so kind to give me a hint on how to use it. I think the easiest solution would be to provide a header file.

PS I am aware there is a besweet.dll

if you are looking for an open-source AC3 decoder, maybe you should download AC3Filter sources (http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/).

the reason why i am interested in azid is because 2 very good programs use it. In my opinion azid has proven it self and that is why it is my first choice.

Hi johnman,

there was once a package on doom9.org containing azid.dll and the corresponding header. This was for the 1.8 version (I think) on the sources site. This is gone now and not available for azid.dll 1.9. I think your best bet is to contact either midas or DSPGuru directly and ask for the header file.

Cheers,

I just pulled up the copy of Azid 1.8 that I had in my archives and it's only the program and the help text file. I googled a version of the azid.dll package v1.8 and it wasn't there either....

dg providem me with v1.9 :)
THX for that DSPguru

but i have read the documentation from the azid files and the author (midas) wants me to add splash screens, and some other things which i personally dont really like.

So i am searching for an alternative for azid and found some.
But i am wondering if they are as depandable as azid, since azid has been in use for some time now, and the alternatives i found are kinda old :(.

maybe someone can give me an alternative which has a proofen dependability and quality ?

the ffmpeg project has an ac3dec.c file. Don't know anything about the quality or even if it works.
