Minirant: What's with all the piracy threads?

ShareReactor closed turned into some weirdass legal/moral discussion, there's a Root Cause of Piracy thread, videogame piracy, copying audio cds and dvds has legal discussion too.. WHAT THE DILLIO PEOPLE?! Do we really need four of these virtually identical threads swimming around the top of general discussion? Or is it time for a law discussion forum? I admit I also fueled the fire by participating in said threads, but man, what's up? This is material so religious you could compare it to OS and linux distro wars. And just as unsolvable and in the end boring (well, it's not boring when you let flames rise high - that's actually funny to read, but that's against forum policy).

eventhough 'political' discussions on hot topics are interesting and valuable at times, we're definately getting too many [similar] of this kind lately...
