First, excuse me for my language, i'm not English.
I have a problem with audio encoding, both with divx and xvid :
First i tried to use mp3 but even though the file was perfect when listening, it had not the same timing as the original wav file which i get with dvd2avi
then i tried the ogg format and everything was good.
i used gordian knot to configure the parameters of my movie. select file in audio 1, check interleaving, 25 fps as the vobs, do not mix with the movie at the end, prefer xvid (codec 1.0, quality set 6, h.263, wide search, no lumi, 3 bf, no extra options checked, bitrate at 1200kbps)
After movie had been encoded, i took oggmux to put the video file into my ogg audio file. When finished, i opened the movie :
the beginning of the file is perfect, audio and video are together. but not at the end. I can notice a differrence of 1 or 2 seconds between audio and video which make the film become ridiculous.
i restarted not muxing my ogg file but my wav file (1.2 gbyte) and then my movie was perfect (no desynchronisation) but oggmux encodes the wav in ogg 64kbps (surprise : i didn't know it can) but it's not always enough to be satisfied.
please help me :scared: ! what did i wrong ? how can i make oggmux encode in a higher bitrate ? how can i do to encode directly an ogg file without having these problems ?
