Any open source WMV9, VC-9 or VP6 projects?

Subject says it all really. I would be very interested if there were specs released or open source projects for either of these codecs in the public domain.

I'm not holding out much hope, but it would be very interesting to find out more about the proprietary standards and maybe even contribute to a superior encoder.

1) WMV9 = VC-9
2) VP6 is closed source. www.on2.com

if you want to help microsoft in pushing wmv9 you should create an opensource project :D

also vc-9 is still not finalized and approved as official standard, so i am not sure if the spec are already available (or able to be used)

I think I will block WMV9 in YS RealAnime plugin system... I don't want anyone to develop a plugin for M$ for free :devil:
