Hi as i allready stated in #XviD im planing to build my own Standalone (Embedded PC tech) here are some Q&A more to come technical details ect
Q: Why you decide todo your own Standalone (Embedded PC tech) ?
A: Because im not happy with the features that todays Standalones provide you in terms of Playback Capabilities, SOC based Solutions are way to limited to provide the User with a comfortable and feature rich playback Feeling :)
Q: What can we expect from Project Pandora ?
A: Everything you miss from SOC based solutions it goes more into the direction the XboX has ben used for :)
Q: Will it be a fat, loud and ugly looking box ?
A: A Box yes ugly sure not :D Big no no no loud you kidding :)
Q: What is the most powerfull about Pandora ?
A: Mpeg-4 Hardware Accelerated Video Decoding and a Intuitive User interface and the dB fully living room compatible :)
Q: Will it have a LCD Display ?
A: Yep :)
Q: Wich Container Formats it's going to support ?
A: Most probably Avi and all other Open Source ones.
Q: Will it support AAC and MP4
A: Tough Question but for that i would need a big big sack of money :rolleyes: but Bond don't cry it's Pandoras Box so everythings possible in some way ;)
Q: How much will it cost ?
A: Has to be seen in Development efort and Financing can't be said as of now :(
Q: Will Pandora support PVR
A: In the first Version it's not planed only Playback but who knows :)
Q: When it's gona be released ?
A: hmm *hides* When it's done :rolleyes:
Q: Are you begining to get Crazy ?
A: Is that so obvious ? :D
Q: Will it be updateable ?
A: Yep :)
Ok now i would like to hear your Feedback, what you are missing from your Standalones and what you expect from Pandora :)
