Video is jumpy

i downloaded a video, its free, got it from www.thebroken.com, and the video its very jump, it will freeze, but the sound still plays, then the sound gets all of synch and the video is messed up. Any idead on how to fix it?

you might be able to partly fix it by using an app like divfix (if it is an avi), but you won't be able to recover all content.

the only other possibility is redownloading the clip!

its not just this clip, its many other videos also, its like i have half a codec or something.

do you have any codec packs (like Nimo) installed?

yea i have a codec pack installed, called TMD Codec pack or something to that sort, movies play fine on my computer, its just episodes of something.

perhaps you could give us a little more details! as to which files specifically do not work, what format they are in etc etc

I had the same problem with all my .avi-clips skipping and jerking. This filter got rid of all my problems:
