hdtv capture card, tv out

if i use a hdtv capture card for my stand alone player/tv recorder it will be able to broadcast my movies onto the tv right? if so can somebody list the differences between myhd and hidtv as they seem to be the most popular cards

No, you also need a video card with TV out, the capture card will only capture it and display it on the Monitor
