Upcoming Dual Layers

we should be seeing dual layer burners by the end of the year...does anyone know if these burners will be using proprietary programs to author dvd (i.e. DVDitDual) or something like it...nero 6.3.1.6 and dvd decrypter 3.2.1.0 reports to support the upcoming format. i dont want to downgrade from scenarist to a proprietary proggy.
