I captured some interlaced stuff from vhs to dvdr and after I got it all authored and burnt I realized that I had forgotten to uncheck upper field first in cce. The thing plays great on my computer (which it should since its deinterlaced by the player) but it breaks up on the tv. I was wondering if there was a way to reverse the field order without having to capture and reencode the thing again. It took me 2 days to encode it and like 4 hours to capture, edit, author it so I sont really want to do it again unless I have no choice.

Download pulldown.exe.

From the command prompt, and in the directory where your .m2v file is:

pulldown <source m2v> <target m2v> -nopulldown -norff -tff even

There's another program called ReStream that can do the same thing.

Your new .m2v will have opposite field order.

reversed field order wouldn't make it 'break up' on the tv, it would just make it twitch up and down a little bit. me thinks you have another issue....

ah but that was the issue. before it would be very jumpy during motion, and now its perfect.
