hi !

I have small vob files which consist of AC3 audio only
(they contain no video).

I desperately need to make one big vob with all these small vobs.

How can I achieve this ?

thanks

Are these actual vob files or ac3s with a vob extention? If the former you could extract out the AC3s using vobedit, for example.

Anyway, you can join AC3s using besplit, there will be a post somewhere in the audo encoding forum with instructions.

If the AC3s are all complete (no partial frames) then you can join them all using any old file joining app. Also, you can just run all the input tracks through bespliced (easy as it's GUI) to get rid of any partial frames, then use the file joiner of choice.

I'm assuming the AC3s all have the same bitrate, I have no idea what the deal is when the bitrate differs...

i've downloaded besplit + gui but it doesn't seem to be able to
join ac3 files !
And I don't find any file merging utility ... can you name one please ?

Sure you haven't got ahold of besweet and not besplit?

Anyway, I've used this one for AC3, just name the files all the same except with 001, 002, etc extention.

After doing this though run the joined file through bespliced (really easy GUI) and fix the file. It will remove any partial frames that may be at the end of the input AC3s.
