MPC and DVD+R

Hi

Would it be possible to use some data caching while playing a DVD? Movies on DVD+R hang for 0.1-0.7 sec randomly. I think caching the data would help with this.

I tryed to fix with windows caching. No luck so far...

You may try to make an image file if the DVD+R is a DVD movie and then play with help of Daemon tools; for avi, I will just copy the whole file to harddisk.

I prefer to play the movie from harddisk because it can avoid the read error and the noise from DVD drive.

Making an ISO is a possibility, but for novice users it's too much. If the player could buffer like 10 sec of movie it would solve this problem.

If it only hangs on DVD, but not on hard disc, you either have a DMA problem or use crappy dvd+r media.
