Scenarist Simulation Window - Inactive Design Tools?

I am trying to create a menu and obviously need to create some buttons in Scenarist. I have the PGC up in the simulation window and want to start making the buttons, but my design tools buttons are ALL greyed out except the "select button" (arrow pointer) that is checked and cannot be unchecked (see below). I feel like there has to be an easy solution to this and I'm hoping someone can let me know what that is before I go crazy!

Apparently, you didn't add any subpictures to the track. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the pink triangles beside the clock grayed out. Before you create the buttons, you need to add subpicture and highlight streams in the track editor. Read the manual, it's all described there step by step.

ooohhh... cool, thx a lot for the reply. i know i had seen those buttons active before but wasn't really sure what was different :rolleyes:
