What is the best avisynth filter to use for encoding "friends"? [Archive]

ive tried a whole lot of filters, but i can get them to look as good as FOV's encodes of friends. anyone have any suggestions?

im sorry if this is illegal to talk about. but i want to know overall what the best avisynth filter is to use for all encodes not just friends.
