I was on ebay and found a very nice deal on a movie i've always wanted. The thing is that I can't play it. I can play it on my PC but not on my home system. I flip it over and find that it is in PAL format which just doesn't kick it here in the US. Is there a way to convert PAL to NTSC witout problems?

Are you sure that it is a PAL/NTSC issue and not a Region lock issue?
If it is the region lock issue then all you need to do is create a region free backup disc.
I am able to play PAL material on my home setup, and I live in the states as well. Certain DVD players are capable, others aren't. You should check your model specifications out in the dvdrhelp.com forums or in the player's manual.

Good point i'm not sure. However lets pretend that it is a PAL issue. Is there anything that I can do? I'd like knowing that if anyone borrowed it or if I took it with me when I went to go visit my friends that it would still play.
