I'm a newbie here and this question may have been answered but I could not find any threads that address this issue.

I would like to rip the audio (only) from a DVD.

I have made full backup (audio & video) copies of DVDs using Smart Ripper, DVD Decripter, DVD Shrink, ImgTool Burn & Nero 6. I just can't figure out how to get the audio only. I'd like to create a soundtrack from some of the movies I have.

In addition to the above programs, I do have Audacity and TMPGE Video Converter.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Terry

Thanks for the reply (I guess). I'm a newbie at this and your link did nothing but confuse me.

Luckily, I posted this at another site (Digital Video Forum) and someone there pointed me to a program called "MPEG MEDIATOR" which did just what I want - it ripped a DVD and produced a WAV file of just the audio track.
