Backing up Charlies Angels 2: Full Throttle

Last sub stream "plays" along w/ the commentary audio track. This stream simply marks some areas in the movie when the director is reffering to something specific. When played in a row there is an animation effect

The problem is: It seems i cannot make two consecutive sub bitmaps (in Scenarist) play w/o having a gap between them. Although one bitmap "starts" exactly when the other stops...

0002 00:00:19:05 00:00:19:08 VTS_04_VSUB_P1A1-17-English_0002.bmp

... there is a gap between those two in the final compilation that doesn't exist in the original.

Any ideas?

What gap are you referring to?

1 Frame in the .sst shouldn't even be noticable however from what I can gather your saying Scenarist is applying more then 1frame between the two?

Yes it shouldn't, and it isn't in the original.

I am under the impression that subs wont appear at the exact frame that are declared in Scenarist! For instance, in Matrix, white rabbit subs stay on screen for 8 secs according to the .sst file, but I swear they stay quite less when the movie actually plays (PowerDVD, don't own a settop).

I had this issue w/ other movies too! When there is a BOV feature mostly.

well what's intersting is your .sst is reportin NTSC times not PAL (pal should use a ; instead of :)

you can check the start/end time in scenarist by clicking on the sub in the track or find it in the data section to find start time/duration

do you get any warnings/errors on import?

Timecodes in Scenarist are correct. No warnings except of course the usual about subs overlapping scenes...

It can't be just me! I am sure this is common w/ Scenarist, isn't it?

Might be stupid remark but anyway:
Can this be related to drop type of video? (every now and then some frames are dropped to achive correct fps) (i assumed it's all about NTSC material)
(please don't yell at me if i'm writing rubbish :D

Unfortunately I'm talking about PAL.

Crazy idea could you put ; instead of : before frame number? Maybe this somehow confuses Scenarist? (sounds stupid? sure thing :D )

Problem found but not solved

Its the damned stops. If i delete them from every sub its all ok. But there are over 1100 subs... Any ideas?
