Hi,
i am using the Big3 method to backup the Indiana Jones Bonus disc (R2)
Everything goes ok except that when i play the reauthored disc with PowerDVD the submenus under the "Indiana Jones Making The Trilogy" menu do not work at all.Only the "Play All" item works.
The relevant ifo file is VTS_03_0.ifo.

I think something is wrong with IFOupdate. If i do not update this ifo and use the original dvd one i cen get the submenus to work but with wrong chapter points!!
This is the info that i get after running IFOupdate for VTS_03_0.ifo:

I'm looking at the VTS 3 IFO on the Bonus disc. I'm assuming it's the Bonus Disc you are refering to. There is nothing that is too out of the ordinary except for the fact that there are multiple cells to a chapter in the first four PGCs. I will also assume that you did a demux by PGC in DIF4U. My only suggest is, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that the I-Frames for the video are not where they are supposed to be for the cells, and IFO Update is having a problem with that. Do/Batch CCE only load the chapter points. My suggestion is to re-encode the video for video streams from VTS 3 from PGC1 to PGC4, and use the cell points.

The easiest way to do that is to edit the CCEdata.txt file to delete all the other video streams from it. Then load that in Do/Batch CCE. Next double click on the job for PGC1 to go into edit mode. After that, where it says chapter list, click browse, and got to your DIF4U working directory, then VTS03, and choose the txt file that is for PGC1 and has the word "cells" in it. If you don't see one with cells in it then DVD Decyrpter may not be set to output it. Then do that for the other three and you should notice that the number of chapter numbers goes from 2 to a lot.

Then just rebuild the Vob for that PGC using the new encoded video and PGCs 5 to whatever of the previous encoded video. Then try IFO update on that.

Hope this is clear.

Thanks for the quick answer but all the doitfast4u files have been deleted and do not have the original disc anymore. I only got the reauthored files and the original untouched not processed files (menus etc). Any luck with these?
Cheers

You do not have the original disc. This sounds fishy. I don't know if I can help you then. I kinda have a way you can do it, but I need the Mods permission first since this may seem odd to them as well. Unless you have a valid reason, like your disc was stolen or destroyed somehow. That is the whole purpose behind making backups.

what did you use to generate your script for Scenarist...

all of your authored files don't match layout of original

- WARNING: Source to Destination mismatch
Original file has 2 chapters.
Newly Authored file has 1 chapters
