I know it's been a while since you asked this, but I just spotted it while looking for usage info on what exactly dvdunauthor _does_. In the end, I just gave up and tried it.

It turns out to do almost exactly what I was looking for: extract the original source vobs and structure from a DVD in a way that allows me to change it slightly (in my case, swapping one of the titles for an alternative version that wasn't ... err ... missing the last 7 minutes) and then reauthor it.

Some documentation would be useful, even if just to confirm that it really does what it sounds like it does. Additionally, command line options to allow a selection of titlesets and or titles to be made, rather than just extracting the entire disc's contents, would be helpful.

I've no experience of spuunmux; it isn't something I really have a use for at the moment.
