DVD Shrink Doesn't Recognize Nero or Target Burner

Version 3.1.7.6 provides the option to burn directly to DVD using Nero.

However, when I click on "Backup" & the "Backup DVD" box opens,my DVD burner doesn't appear among the "Select Target Device" options. Only "Hard Disk Folder" &/or "ISO Disk Image" appear.

Additionally, the Mr Bass.org guide shows that it should say "Burn with Nero to the following device" but it doesn't! Nero Enterprise vs. 5.5.10.35 is installed on this PC but it isn't being recognized by DVD Shrink.

What's wrong here & how do I fix it? Your help will be very much appreciated.

I've had a similiar experience. The first time a tried a version of DVDShrink with the Nero feature Nero wasn't recognized on my computer. Odd thing is though that one time (and only once) DVDShrink did see Nero and succeeded in burning a disc. It hasn't happened since though, I imagine its cause I don't have the latest version of Nero.

Hi Daether, Thanks for the reply.

I think you're right about the need to update Nero. Once I updated there was joy - DVD Shrink & Nero now burn flawlessly. A late version of 5.5 works as does 6.0.
