here's a few classic negative feedbacks
- Seller is charging for a URL to a freeware site!! www.dvdshrink.org BEWARE!

- This is freeware; I wish my money had gone to the actual author of the software.

- This is a freeware program why am I paying you for it? I still dont have it.

In my opinion ebay is a scam in itself. Everyone I know gets burn on digital cameras...not in stock ..refurbished sold as new. Oh well people have to get burned a few hundred times before they learn I suppose.

"Date of Bid Bid Amount User ID
Mar-15-04 12:45:10 PST US $0.95 private auction -- bidders' identities protected"

The only twist this time is that it's a private auction, and bidders cannot be warned until after they won....... Won what???

I have post what he said in your link here. It's too good to pass up.

"Well, since Ebay keeps canceling my auction for listing hardware and software that violate “encouraging” and “copyright infringement” policies about making “unauthorized copies of DVDs”, which by the way, none of my listing has anything to do with “encouraging copyright infringement” or “unauthorized copies of DVDs.”

So I just want people to know that if you want to “Protect” your “Digital Media”, there is a excellent “Method” of doing it, and it is Absolutely Free! Yes, it is all Free! I don’t understand why people are paying $50-$100 bucks for DVD X Copy software, while they can do it absolutely Free and it is so Simple. In fact I have DVD X Copy Platinum and it is a piece of sh*t! A waste of my money. It always insert the annoying disclaimer into my movie, and I have to be connected to the internet in order for it to work properly.

So what am I selling in this auction? I’m selling a “stone”, that has nothing to do with copyright infringement or unauthorized copies of DVDs. (Hey Ebay, a stone is NOT a hardware nor a software and it IS a valid decorative arts and crafts product!) I’m selling it for $2.50 lousy cents (for coffee), simply because I’m not selling it to make money. I just want people to know about “Protecting” their Digital Media Collection absolutely Free with this “stone”!

If this stone does not protect your digital media collection, I’ll refund your $2.50 cents! I have used this stone to protect my whole collection without any problem and so will you! Just rub the stone against your blank media and everything will be protected!

Bid however much you want for this stone. DVD Protection is supposed to be Free people, why pay so much for it?!

Ask me any question, I’ll be happy to answer your inquiry!"

I like to buy clothes on Ebay (seriously). I have found some great deals on Hooded Sweatshirts from my favorite bands, and shirts I definitely would not be able to find locally. Its like a great big consignment store :D

I work in purchasing and the rule I use is "Know your Foe".
eBay is okay if you do your research, anyone who doesn't deserves all they get.
