Hi,
I have used DVD shrink to backup my DVDs and works great and easy to use. I just have one problem. The picture quality is not the greatest and sometimes you can see the pixel, especially in the background.
Is there anyhting that I can do or settings to change to make the quality of the picture better?
Thanks

I also made some problems with this tool.
The codec is okey for the video, but not if you lower the quality too much.
What i did was to make the videoquality high so it got a size of 4gig .. and ofcourse this made the DVD get to big.
But backup anyway, openup the finished DVD with TMPGEnc DVD Autor and reauthor the DVD. Code the Audio to mpeg1 layer2 or AC3
my DVDR got down to 4,6gig after that.

Welcome to the forums, andy2004. :)
A few ways to optimise the quality of your DVD Shrink backups:
- use "Deep analysis" for all backups needing 15% or more compression ("Ratio" < 85%).
- use the Re-author mode to make movie-only backups.
- make sure you deselect the audio/subpicture streams you do not need.
- when doing movie-only backups, use the mixed-compression trick (guide here (http://www.dvdshrink.info/mixed-compressions.php))to apply more compression to the end-credits (even "still pictures" if you do not mind watching them as a "slide-show).
Guides for all of the above can be found here (http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php). ;)
