Hi everyone I am trying to backup School of Rock and when I ran it using the Big3 method, I got my total filesize to be 4.41GB. This is too much to fit onto a DVD. I was thinking that there are previews before the movie starts that I could transcode using Nero Recode and then use the IfoUpdate feature to get the VTS to work correctly. However I've tried this and it doesn't work. There are two VOB's in the VTS, one with movie production studio, and at the end it lets you choose to view previews or play movie. It freezes when you select either one. The 2nd VOB in the VTS is the previews themselves. Shouldn't you be able to use both of these VOB's in replace of the original VOB's in the DVD? They're basically the same only at a different bitrate. I used IfoUpdate on the vts2.ifo file but it won't work. Thanks!
Edit 2: Everytime I post my problem I always seem to fix it shortly afterwards! I figured out that if I left the original VOB_2_0 (the one with the movie recording studio) and then copied over the transcoded Previews VOB_2_1 and then update the IFO, it works! Sorry for wasting some bandwidth!
