Has anyone noticed that if you try going to Donald Graft's website (which I think is http://neuron2.net/) you get this message:
Your account has been suspended. We have sent you an email explaining why. This email should also contain information on how you can unsuspend your account.
Anybody know what's up? I know he's been on a sabbatical of sorts from video work (and this forum). What would we ever do without him! :scared:
Thanks!

I got a mail back from him. He said he's refreshed and re-energized, and planning to return this weekend! I forgot to ask him about his homepage though.

Yay! It'll be great to see his return. His website seems to still be down, but upon his return I imagine he'll look into that.

@ Wilbert
great news...did you forgot to send my regards too?
...thanks, we're waiting!
@ TorgoGuy and all:
the last post(in this moment) in the neuron2's forum is asking:
"main web site broken??"
means that only the link for the main web site "seems" broken,
but the link that i posted still working!
why don't you test?

Hopefully the site will be up again tomorrow. Read the news item at my forum for an explanation.
Hope everybody is well. This weekend I plan to return in an active capacity. The first thing I want to do is speed up random navigation for DVD2AVIdg/MPEG2DEC3dg, assuming someone hasn't already done it. :)

Glad to see you're back. Hope you're feeling interested and refreshed with regard to your video projects. I don't know if you anticipate future hosting problems, but if so, I'd be happy to mirror your site for you...it's up to you.
I'm a newbie at posting here, but I'm a long time lurker. Your work has been greatly appreciated by me.
Thanks!

Hi Donald,
could you perhaps also take a short look at Decomb again? I've made a suggestion for an extra mode (well, not really extra, just a combination of mode 2 & 3) for Decimate here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70579), which would be quite handy for recent anime releases.
I'd do it myself, but I'm currently busy with my diploma thesis and I'd rather not want to set up a complete build enivronment for a small change... :)
(Still, I've someday got to make a filter out of my BlendBob function you can find here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67495&perpage=40&pagenumber=2#post418195), as I actually like it better than Telecide as it doesn't have a threshold you need to tweak and in the worst case will produce blended frames instead of combing UNLESS you totally screw up the SmartBob you use with it. Oh yeah, perhaps you should add a KernelBob-function to KernelDeint so the questions where to find it can be put to a rest... :D)
Hope I'm not being too pushy here... :)

if you want to look for speed its maybe a good idea to make nic's mpegdecoder working with dvd2avidg
would be great as it helps encoding speed a lot (i use it exclusively) :)

Here's an update on my site.
The host ipowerweb has gone over to the dark side. In order to cram more onto their hosts and thereby squeeze out more revenue, they are cooking up "abuse" charges against popular sites. They then suspend the site and keep your money, and replace the site with several lower volume ones. Do a google for "ipowerweb suspended" and you'll see that I am not alone. They won't even respond to emails. At least when NBCi killed their free sites they gave ample warning and allowed people time to transition gracefully.
So I am in the process of rehosting and will report here when it is completed.

If you haven't already setup another solution, I'd be happy to your site (for free) if you'd like. I have a dedicated server colocated in chicago that is going mostly unused right now and would be happy to help you out. PM me if you're interested.
Heh, sounds like I got on my free hypermart hosting. I woke up one day to find all my hypermart hosted images be dead, and when I went to my main URL, it gave a 403 indicating free services had been stopped and that I had supposedly gotten an email. I hadn't, and when responding to the issue requesting one single chance to backup my data, I got a message that I could choose between upgrading to paid hosting or losing my data. Well, if it's gonna be paid hosting, I'm really not going with hypermart, that's for sure. There's much more interesting paid offers than theirs.

Unbelievable! So I go to SourceForge and make a site there. Then just before publishing the URL, I try once more at neuron2.net and it is up again! They never bothered to mail me about it or anything. But the forum is now down! So I'm going to go through another 2 weeks of hassle??? I don't think so.
I'm thinking of just killing the forum and living at SourceForge. Any opinions? Or does SourceForge support PHP boards?
Actually, now that I'm back here I don't need my own forum but I'd hate to lose all the great postings.
TorgoGuy, thanks and check your PM.

If you drop your forum I will surely miss Ivo's posts.

I think it does. It supports PHP anyway, and I think I saw a phpBB somewhere on an sf.net hosted page.
