when i watch movies with ac3 audio the sound effects are really loud and the voice is really soft. i'm guessing the voice channel is stored much quieter for some reason. is there a way to make everything the same volume?

I'am using MPC but ...
I have just found a few weeks ago that The Core Media Player includes the DynEQ filter that can connect to more than 2 channel avi files !

i didnt know there were so many options in ac3filter! things have changed since its initial rls so long ago. anyways, i cranked up the gain for the voice channel and it seems a lot better. unfortunately, a lot of the ac3 tracks on dvds use the voice channel for a lot of the background noises, so those sounds are amplified too.
*sigh*
