New Audio Software?

Has anyone tried DVD+Audio (http://www.eximius.nl/dvdaudio.php)yet?

This program came up on HA a while back. (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?showtopic=19467) Conclusions: It doesn't do anything really that can't be done with free software and the authors make some bogus claims (like improving the sound quality of a CD).

So what is the free software that can do the same job as DVD+Audio?

Scanning the page, I can't see anything that couldn't be done with some combination of Audacity, BeSweet, and DVDAuthor/other free authoring tool.

I didn't see anything about multichannel support, so that ends it for me...
