man, i gotta say this: fuck.
*sniggering and waiting for solicitor's letter*
that's bad stuff. i've had a theory for several months now that society has gone full-circle and it's now the fifties again...
just what was shocking about janet jackson's boob? i know a lot of these people haven't even seen themselves naked, but goddamnit.
i know what will make america a more "decent" place - let's lobby congress to make sex a felony!
(of course i say this from the relatively permissive environment of australia)
i HATE the word "decency". it's always pedalled by those bloodless middle-aged (impotent?) conservatives when trying to limit people's freedom.

Actually, it's about 12 billion. Men have them too, but they are vestigial. You've probably seen fat dudes with a real rack. :D

I don't get what this fuss is all about.
We get them all the time here in Portugal (and I guess it's usual all over Europe), all it takes is a shower gel commercial.:D :D :D

The thing I don't get is that College Basketball's March Madness is going to be on a 10 second delay on CBS. Why may I ask? It is for the unexpected time a player pulls down his shorts? For the crowds cheering for their teams?

You know what the problem is with congressmen and senators (almost all high ranking politicians really)? They're all old. Old people have decency standards that that only other old people agree with. Things like this really need to be decided by popular vote.

The shocking part is most people who tuned to watch the Super Bowl did it, strangely :p, to watch football, not a naked boob.
They should be fining Janet Jackson for doing such a thing.

What is offensive in (free) nudity?
We can critize (a part of) the islam for not let the women show the face, and don't allow the women show a boob?
What's really the etic (not moral) difference?

Man boobs: Proof that the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act of 2004 doesn't go far enough.
Seriously though, banning a few cuss words and some nudity is hardly censorship, especially considering that the airwaves are owned by the public and therefore should be held to community standards rather than to the standards of whatever private company is getting free use of the airwaves.
Instead of someone whining about imaginary censorship, they should be demanding that the broadcast spectrum be actioned off and taxed before they whine about the public having some say in the use of public property. Guess who the true tyrants are.

I know this is not related much to audio/video compression, but sharereactor.com has been taken down by swiss police some days ago. Some major sites has been taken down also. Where is this world going to?
