Hello.

I tried to import a mp2 audio in scenarist and got a message to convert it to ac3. Does it mean scenarist doesn't accept the mp2 audio format.
I know the mp2 audio used in dvd is supposed to cause problems with some players, but for the moment I had none. (I've authored a few dvds with mp2 audio in DVDMaestro.)

Scenarist accepts mp2 for PAL projects only. For NTSC projects, it's either PCM or AC3 (or DTS I suppose). This is to ensure DVD standard compliance.

Re-encode your mp2 to AC3 with the same bitrate before importing. If you choose AC3 during importing, it will always re-encode at 192kbps. Alternatively, you can convert mp2 to .wav if you have enough disc space left.
