Using NEC 1300A for quite some time with Verbatim DVD-R disks. Now I started useing new disks: Sony +DVR, and Maxell -DVR. The drive does not recognize as empty disks. Both these brands are on the approved list from NEC. Did my DVD writer give up the Ghost??
