I am putting this in the newbie section because of 1) I dont know what is problem would be called and 2) i cant really search for this becasue i dont know how to generalize this enough to search for it.
Anyway, my problem is that i obtained a video and when i play it the video seems to freeze in the same exact spots every time. The sound keeps playing but the video stops. Then it will start back up where it should be(not where is froze) so it freezes and about 3 seconds later it resumes there. anyway i could fix this, like re-encoding it or something.
Edit: I edited this now(i didnt think that what i posted was breaking the rules and i did read the rules, sorry)

Please review the forum rules again as this post seems like it's on the borderline of violating rule #6.:readrule:

Sorry to bring up the bad news but we all have to abide to Doom9's playground rules. ;)

i dont think anyone is going to help me, so i have 2 choices. 1) Go to another forum like this and ask or wait and ask in like a week when this post gets burried.

@cow-tipper:
I do not recommend you pursue that course, it will avail you little.
You are not required to like our rules. But you did agree to abide by them, and we are especially strict about enforcement of Rules 4 and 6.
Regarding Rule 6, please review this announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?s=&forumid=6) here in the Newbie forum, which you apparently missed.
@Amnon82:
No.

Taken from the Announcement that jggimi has linked to: (The one that says, "ATTENTION! Read this before posting!")
3. Any thread in which it may be interpreted that the writer has acquired the material in question through illegal channels will be closed immediately after an explanation is issued by a member of the Moderation Team.
4. No member may issue help on illegal files. Any individual post to an existing thread, that subsequently mentions such illegal files or offers help on illegal files, will be edited or deleted in order to maintain the integrity of the original thread.
As far as I can tell, those two points cover the questions raised within this thread.
Thread closed.
