Iīm trying to make a copy of a childrens movie so my three kids wonīt destroy their original. I do this with most of their movies using Gordian Knot. I have never had any problems.
In this case I canīt get the audio in my language.

In Robot4rip audio section there are three versions of the original language plus my language. My language comes up "toned down" and as "Unspecified (5ch SDDS) I canīt choose it, the check box i grey. When I rip I get the original sound or no sound.

When I make a one to one copy of the movie and run it on the computer hard disk it works just like the orignal. I can choose my language.

The movie is a dual layer dvd so I cant burn a copy.
I want to make a divx copy that I can run from my computer, relax server, and X-box on the TV.

My computer is a Dell, pentium4, 2,4 ghz, 700 something ram.

I am a newbie, have no real knowledge of this. I hope I have posted this question according to the rules and that someone can help me.

Best regards

hmm this is strange... could you please send me your ifo file so i can have a closer look at it?!

after some research in the forum, i found out that SDDS is actually a cinema format, or in other words, not suited for home cinema decoders. strange, as you tell me that you can decode it on your standalone.

anyway, apparently there also appears to be a bug that show DTS tracks as SDDS. this only happens with SmartRipper though, so since R4R is using DVDdec it's actually unlikely that you are facing this problem.

anyway, my recommendation is that you go look for a second soundtrack for your language. if it is SDDS or DTS, there should be at least a 2.0 AC3 track anyway.

4 audio tracks come up.
1. Japanese (2chAC3)
2. Japanese (6chAC3)
3. Japanese (6chAC3)
4. Unspecified (5ch SDDS)

The unspecified is Swedish. The movie works fine with swedish of course when playing in the DVD player. It also works fine playing on the computer from the copied image.

I have also seen that SDDS is not supported. Maybe I should rephrase the question. Is there no way to get the swedish sound out for a divx copy.

I also tried AutoGK. There I can choose the unspecified soundtrack but no sound is ripped.

It is funny though that Japanese comes with two 6chAC3. Might be that one of these is in fact Swedish. Well, try to demux all audio tracks and play them to be sure.

Thanks a lot for pointing out what should have been obvious. The third Japanese track was the Swedish one.
Again thank you.
