MPC audio output

Hi,

This is for Gabest really :)

Would it be possible for you to implement a kernel streaming type output for the sound method?

I use it in foobar and it works a treat.

It allows the playback volume to be set independant of the normal wave device output sounds.

This is good when you have other applications running at the same type as playing the various media files.

Try the Directsound output in the Options -> Output ...
It works ... :)

No it doesnt i'm afraid.

With this output type used, altering the wav volume in windows mixer affects the output level.

I think kernel streaming is the only method that goes direct to the soundcard.

Can we have this feature gabest, please :)

Are you sure?

At home (WinXP, Phillips soundcard, DirectX9):
when the Directshow audio is set to system default or directsound in MPC: it works OK.

At work (WinME, ABIT ST6 motherboard with built-in AC97 codec, DirectX9):
when the Directshow audio is set to system default in MPC: it works like yours (so don't work) !
when the Directshow audio is set to directsound in MPC: it works OK.

But I think your soundcard driver is the week point ... :) Try to upgrade it.
