View Full Version : Skip audio conversion in AVI2DVD

Hello,

I am doing a lot of AVI2DVD where I use the original AC3 audio track of the AVI as audio for the final compiled DVD. If the AVI file has an mp3 audio track, I compile the DVD using the WAV file. This means that I do not need the mp2 file generated by BeSweet but I still need to wait for this program to finish before video encoding starts, which increases the whole processing time. I would like to find a way to tell DVD2SVCD to skip audio encoding and go directly to video encoding. It could be argued that if I just need the video conversion, I could use directly CCE, but I am used now to type all my conversion parameters in DVD2SVCD and I find it quite confortable.

I know that the D2SRoba plugin has a "convert audio after video" option that, when selected, postpones audio encoding after video is done. This is more or less what I need, but I couldn't figure out how it works.

Thanks in advance

You can close besweet after started by D2S. just click X!
D2S will continue the process, such as audio encoding would be finished.

Thanks a lot for your answer. It is a really simple solution if only one avi is being processed. However, I would also like to do the audio skipping during batch processing conversion. In this situation, I am normally not present in front of the computer every time that BeSweet starts. Any idea?

D2S main purpose is to fully automatize the project. Thats why no such 'skip audio' feature included.
Just a tip:
Try to demultiplex your avis with virtualdub, and add only the silent video to D2S. I'm not sure that it will work, but may be.
However in time the same. :D
