I have heard that it has the best quality compared to the other backup programs and it is also quite fast. Yesterday Intervideo released a new version of their software and because I'm thinking about buying it I would like any comments you have to make about their dvd copy software.
Does it really produce a better quality dvd backup?
Any info you have please share it.
Thank you in advance

Don't use it so I won't know what the new version has compared to the old one. But, here's a thread talking about the previous version. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70146&highlight=intervideo

I have just done a quick test of the DVDCopy 2 demo with Lost In Translation (Region 1) using the full 7.42gb and AnyDVD to rip. Encoding was done in a little over 15mins (good speed!) and writing in half an hour (2x). The quality is good for the size of the disc, although I notice a few blocks if I sit very close to the TV, but what software wouldn't give this anyway? Sitting back, things look fine. Has anyone else tested yet?

I tested it and I was not happy about the results. I'm much more happy with IC8.

I tested this software on Back to the Future a while back, didn't like the quality of it at all (full disc). On the other hand, when I stripped everything but the main movie, english subtitles, and two audio streams (69% compression) - I couldn't tell the difference between the original and the output (by comparing many various frames in VirtualDub).
//Edit
Oh, and the disc was approximately 7GB.

Paced, I take it that this was v1 of the program, not the new v2? Quote from the intervideo website "up to 25% faster and improved video quality" - i wonder how true this is!?

Nope, I did it with V2. I should have clarified my definition of 'while back', as in, a few hours ago :) I've also used V1 in the past on the same DVD, the results were pretty much the same.
