Seems to default to single pass, is there a way thru AutoGK to get into the Xvid configuration I don't see one...

Hi-

The Quality Modes are single pass. The Predefined Size encoding, except for Maximum Quality (unlimited size), uses standard 2-pass methods. And no, you can't change any of the XviD settings. AutoGK is all about not having to make choices. If you like to tweak, then GKnot, or encoding directly in VDubMod, is the way to go.

I guess I'm confused why Quality mode would be single pass? Don't you get a better quality encode and possible smaller size using 2 Pass? Or am I off track? Let me state thou even with single pass it looks great I'm hugely impressed with Mpeg 4

Two pass encoding doesn't result in better quality than one pass, but makes it possible to get the desired filesize.

Basically you can say it like this. Quality mode keeps the quality constant while the filesize varies. In two pass mode you do not know what quality you are going to get, but you know which filesize you are going to get (which is why doing a compression test is a good idea when you want to find the filesize you should aim for).
