hi...
downloaded Helix Producer 10 beta (latest), real player 10 beta (latest) and rv10 codecs from helix community (and codec fix)...

do i need to apply new rv10 reg entries if i have latest helix producer... also do i need to dload all helix sdk to get he-aac?

you should get a GUI that already support them. Look in RealVideo 9 sticky.

No, you just need the sdk HE-AAD addon for encoding
file: helixproducersdk_aac_addon_10_beta2_windows.zip
and the latest racp fix for RealPlayer10 to be able to play them back, or use CoreAAC in MediaPlayerClassic instead:
file: racp_fix_030904.zip

In both files there are readmes that will tell you what to do with the included files.

As long as you edit the job files manually, there is no need for any registry hack. Though it is quite hard not to get lost in all the different tags in the jobfile in the beginning. Therefore using one of the GUIs advertiesed here in the forum and edit/tune the jobfiles they create is a good way to get started. That is at least what i made. The HelixProducer downloaded from HelixComunity comes with documents in /doc. Use them to analyse and tune the jobfiles created by the GUIs and run them in cmd.exe/comand.com with "producer -j jobfile.rpjf -lc "e,i,w,d".
