Hello,

I tired touse DirectShowSource to open a mpeg2 file (rip from dvd and I rename it to mpg). But Avisynth seems can't open. Any idea how can I open a mpeg2 file under AVisynth? Thanks.

Create a D2V and use MPEG2Dec3.

A DVD-rip produces one or more *.VOB files. These may contain lots of different streams (one video, one or more audio, one or more subpicture). You may be able to open the MPEG2 video directly IF you demux the video stream out of your VOB set and IF you have a MPEG-2 software decoder in your system. However, it's far easier to use DVD2AVI/MPEG2Dec3...
