Hi all.

I'm new to the game and I'd appreciate some inside info from players more experienced than me. I've ripped a bunch of DVDs and I'm playing them on my TV set (technical stuff at the bottom). Here's the problem: First of all they appear redder than the original. Secondly, the image seems a little stretched horizontally (or shrunk vertically, or both); in other words the aspect ratio seems different. The weird thing is that when I play the Div-X video on my PC, it looks perfect!

So, what am I doing wrong? Is there a guide on how to play your Div-X movies on a TV set? What about TV-out settings for your card? Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome. Links too!

Thanks for your time,

PS I have an Abit Siluro FX 5600 card, with the nVidia FX5600 chip. The TV is a Philips PAL set with only a SCART input/outut plug. No S-Video and such.

How to set up your TV-out is quite simple: get TVTOOL (http://www.tvtool.de). That useful little app will send you in the right direction immediately. They also have a guide at their site with everything you need to know about how to set up a TV-out on a Geforce card.
