Is that possible ?

I usually use the re-author button, to do the main movie only backup.

Wanna try to use it for menu + main movie (no extra).

Is that possible ?

PS. As you know we can't just disable the extra with the shrink mode,
I have to choose "Still picture" to minimized the space of extra,
is there any way to disable it ?

Thank you.

Is that possible ?Using DVD Shrink on its own? Yes, but only by reducing your unwanted titles to still pictures though.

is there any way to disable it ? It sounds like you are referring to "it" as the "Still picture" option. You can't "disable" that. But if you want to really blank out your unwanted Titlesets that contain your extras, you need outside help. TitleSet Blanker works great for this. ;)

use DVD Stripper first to strip the extras and unwanted intro titles etc etc.

then compile using dvd stripper, this is get rid of the extras and re author the menu buttons so it wont crash.

then use dvd shrink to shrink the files dvd stripper compiled for you.

i use this method and is superb.

Any advantages between titleset blanker and dvdstripper?

Cheers

onesoul: The main advantage I see in using TitlesetBlanker in that I can read from HD and it doesn't take long at all, DVDStripper you have to rip a certain way and it takes a long time to see each file and verify whether or not you want to keep it. With TitlesetBlanker once you know the structure of a DVD its really easy to get rid of the extras, it takes me 2 minutes to do it.

I use TitlesetBlanker to get rid of extras and then run DVDShrink to do the compression if needed! This way I can keep menus and main movie if I choose to.

Try it ookzDVD, it works beautifully!

Thank you for very kind reply.

I have problem with this situation :

It's Matrix Reloaded, Region 3,
It has multilanguage menu : English, Korean, and Thai.
The main movie is VTS_01*, the English Menu is VTS_02*
the Korean Menu is VTS_03*, and the Thai Menu is VTS_04*,
the Extra is in VTS_05*.

All I want to do is keep the English Menu, the Main Movie,
and remove all non English Menu and Extra.

PS.
What I have done is :
1. I just rip all the in the DVD (use File Mode) using DVDDecrypter
into my HD.
2. Use the MenuEdit to edit/delete the button for Korean and Thai.
3. [edit] Use titleblanker to blank all VTS_03* VTS_04* VTS_05*
4. Load the VIDEO_TS into DVDShrink try to re-compress the main movie

Thank you.

[edit] I finally can make it work, with 2Cool guide combained with
titleblanker. :)

This guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67564) would work great for your multi-language start menu. Though you already know where your language version menus are residing at, you need to know where your language select start menu is. Possibly in VTS_01? Give this a try first.

I can finally make those things work,
I use the DVDStripper to strip all unwanted menus and extra,
and then use MenuEdit to edit the menu button.
Then use DVDShrink to compress it into DVD5. :)

But the language select menu is still there, if I disable this
menu the DVD won't start.

Thank to 2Cool, I wanna try your guides :) I hope I can finally
remove the language select menu.

PS. 2Cool : I really want to collect all your guide, I wish there is
a .zip or downloadable version :)

Thank you.

If you ever try any DVD with dual aspect ratio versions or with a multi-language start menu using that guide, feel free to post your success in that thread. ;)
