Hi everyone.
sorry for such silly question. I tried to search but found notheing.
Friend ripped couple of dvd's tht i asked him - he used latest xvid codec. I suddenly discovered that ffdshow doesn't play them smooth ( video is stuttering back and forward - i guess impreper b-frame playback order) I uninstalled Ffdshow - tried to play movie - and 3-vix Decoder was playing (green window - no video ) I went further and uninstalled 3-vix codec+decoder as well - Next decoder i saw - is Divx5 decoder which has also problems. I have no slightest idea how to set Xvid decoder. Tried installing last xvid coder+decoder in every memtioned step - has no effect.
Please anybode just tell me how to force Xvid decoder to play mpeg-4?

Did you enter the DivX Decoder Properties window (Start -> Program Files -> DivX -> DivX ... Codec -> Decoder Configuration Utility) and uncheck Support Generic Mpeg-4?

Tanks a lot, Jawor.
Didn't know that option exists. Uncheked it.
As i guessed, xvid decoder plays those files just fine
