Hi,

I'm quiet new to DVD ripping and i couldn't find a direct answer to my problem in the guides so I'll ask here.

I've ripped my DVD with DVDdecrypter to my HD wich results in an .iso file.
I've extracted the contents of the .iso file to a folder, since i want to remove the intro movie and the caution screen for piracy.

Now i've done that by checking which vob ids belong to those two parts, and then open the .ifo file in ifoedit and remove playback on those two lines.

Now comes the scary part...
When i play the vob files (so no .iso yet) it al works great.
But when i create an .iso file from the folder with WinISO, it goes wrong.
It does skip the two parts, but when i want to browse the menu it's messed up. [Edit, R4.] E.g. I click "scene selection" but the menu screen .image hangs, while the "things" for scene selection are available, so i still see the menu for scene selection, play movie, etc, but actually i'm on the scene selection screen cause i can click (blind) the several scenes to start.

It's like that with every menu i click. So the same for scene selection, extra menu, etc.

I've totally no idea what i did wrong, since the files themselves (no iso format) play perfect.

Anyone with some advice?

Thx!

Craz,

Use DVDStripper. It's freeware, and it will let you strip exatcly what you want, and it will reconstruct all the ifo & vobs automatically. Very convenient & very nice. Here's a guide.
